On this workshop, you will have to take care of your own breakfast and lunch. The day starts by meeting at Lawrence's Restaurant at Keefer's Inn. Keefer's Inn is right on hiway 101 in King City. From Keefer's Inn it is only 30 minutes to Mission San antonio. We meet at the restaurant at 8:00am and leave from there for the mission. The drive from San Jose CA airport to Keefer's Inn is 105 miles and will take roughly two hours. Depending upon where you are coming from, please take this into consideration. The alternative is to stay at the Keefer's Inn as that's where we will meet, Friday morning, at 8:00am. I will arrive there at 8:00. Those staying at Keefer's Inn or arriving early, can have breakfast there. The rest of us will eat before we arrive or eat the breakfast we've packed, at the mission. The restaurant is also a good place to fill your coffee thermos (for those who induldge) before setting out for the day. Make sure you pack a lunch as after we leave the restaurant, we won't be near any stores or restaurants for, basically, the entire day. There will be restrooms, however, at the mission and at Nacimiento river. Early morning at the mission, on Friday, is basically devoid of people. You will be able to photograph all around the mission, and inside the chapel without tourists getting in the way. The mission grounds are rich with photographic subjects.

From the mission, we head out into the Hunter Liggett fields of oak trees and wildflowers. And from there we will spend the rest of the day in (literally) the Nacimiento River. Bring knee high waterproof boots or a spare pair of dry shoes & socks. This is what I use:    >>  NEOS Overshoes  <<  which are waterproof up to your knees and are made to slip over the shoes you are wearing.
